TURBOTAP® AND CENTERPLATE TEAM UP TO IMPROVE IN-GAME CONCESSION
EXPERIENCE FOR SPORTS FANS ACROSS THE U.S.

Innovative beer pouring technology gets fans out
of line and back to their seats

CHICAGO, IL - May 2, 2006 - From baseball’s most hallowed grounds to football’s
newest facilities, sports fans nationwide will enjoy beer from the tap faster than ever thanks
to a new agreement between Laminar Technologies, makers of TurboTap®, and stadium concessionaire
Centerplate. The deal brings TurboTap’s innovative beer pouring technology to a majority of
Centerplate’s largest stadiums across the country, allowing vendors to serve fans up faster, so
they don’t miss a minute of action on the field.
TurboTap is an improved beer tap that pours draft beer up to four times faster than conventional
taps. In addition to the improved pouring speed, TurboTap helps deliver a perfect collar of foam
on every beer and reduces spillage, which translates into improved keg yield for concessionaires.
The end result for sports fans is a better tasting and better looking beer with less waste.
TurboTap was named Best New Product of 2005 by Centerplate in recognition of the draft beer pouring
technology’s performance displayed at various Centerplate venues across the U.S.
“This is a terrific opportunity for both Centerplate and Laminar,” said Janet Steinmayer, President
and Chief Executive Officer of Centerplate. “We are always searching for new products that will
improve our business, and we believe that TurboTap will greatly enhance the services we provide to
our customers by improving the speed of service and quality at high-volume stadium concession stands.”
“Centerplate has a long history of coming up with innovative ideas for improving the in-stadium
experience for fans,” said Matthew Younkle, President of Laminar Technologies and inventor of the
TurboTap. “We are proud to be installing TurboTap at some of the most high-profile Centerplate
venues across the U.S. and are confident that the product will be well received by their staff and
customers.”
Recently recognized as one of Time Magazine’s “Top Inventions of 2005” and featured on CNN,
TurboTap’s fluid controlling technology is designed to increase standard keg yield and draft beer
quality through less spillage and the correct proportion of foam. TurboTap is expected to help get
people out of the concession lines faster and back to their seats.
